The Works

The Works shop is open all school-year round on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:30 at our NEW! Shoreline Center location. The entrance is located at 18560 1st Ave NE, facing the soccer field in Shoreline!  Operated by Shoreline PTA Council , this community resource is available to all of Shoreline’s students regardless of need or family income.

Prom Shop is an additional resource of The Works that offers our tweens and teens a wide selection of formal and semi-formal wear, shoes, jewelry and accessories for guys and girls.  We have appropriate clothing for orchestra and band concert attire,  Homecoming and Prom as well as special occasions, like weddings, church, graduation, school music performances, etc.

Time to clean your closets?

Donations of any of these clothing  items would be gratefully accepted, most especially costume jewelry, men’s clothing and shoes. We also accept other kids clothes, coats, clean socks and underwear, and hygiene products throughout the year.

Volunteer!

**New! Use this handy online form to request to volunteer at The WORKS!** Note that the link goes to an external website hosted by secure.lglforms.com.

The WORKS is run by a committee of PTA volunteers representing many different schools throughout the Shoreline School District.  They are supported each Wednesday by volunteers from local PTA units.  Each local unit signs up to assist 2-3 Wednesdays during the school year.  For this year’s schedule see Local PTA Schedule (updated 9.28.19).

PTA volunteers must read and agree to the Volunteer Guidelines before volunteering on site at The WORKS.  A Volunteer Agreement must be filled out, signed and turned in the first time one volunteers each year. You can contact the Volunteer Coordinator to confirm you have an agreement filed for the current year.

Teen Volunteer Hours
The WORKS provides an opportunity for teen volunteer hours.  There is limited space available on Wednesdays and teens must make arrangements ahead of time by contacting the Volunteer Coordinator - Jill Steinberg,  shorelineptaworks@gmail.com. Please see Student Volunteer Guidelines and Student Volunteer Agreement.

Youth Groups & Community Volunteers
The WORKS has many opportunities for groups to assist on special projects throughout the year.  Sorting and packaging product drive items, restocking the clothing room, helping set up for special events are some of the ways groups can participate.  To arrange for your group to volunteer please contact the Volunteer Coordinator - Jill Steinberg,  shorelineptaworks@gmail.com.
