AP Tests are finished!

Shorewood students took over 700 AP tests in May. Congratulations! Reminder: the AP test score results will be available online via www.collegeboard.org using students’ AP #.

Summer School:

If your student has ever failed a semester course, summer is an ideal opportunity to get back on track via APEX online courses and/or other credit recovery options. http://learn.shorelineschools.org/spec/sschool. We will likely have scholarship assistance through the counseling office.

Next Year Schedules:

Next year schedules will be computer generated based off of students’ registration requests. Thank you for your understanding that, because the master schedule is created based off of registration forms, schedules can not be changed except in extraordinary circumstances approved by administration. Schedules will be available in early September before school starts. Dates/times for specific grade levels’ pick-up will be communicated; keep your eye on the SW website.

Community Service:

Reminder to 9, 10 and 11th graders about community service hours! This is a new graduation requirement for class of 2016 and beyond. 40 hours are required. Forms must be turned in to Ms. Spellman in the Career/College Center. Especially if your student is a current junior, these hours must be taken care of to graduate next year. Summer is a great opportunity to get those volunteer hours completed; be sure to get documentation. Forms are in Naviance and in the Career Center.
