Stay tuned for information for 2020!
Classroom Grants (formerly known as Enrichment for Quality Classrooms or EQC) is a PTSA committee whose mission is to provide much-needed classroom equipment and materials for Shorewood High School.
The Shorewood PTSA accepts designated donations to provide Classroom Grants to Shorewood High School teachers for the purchase of teaching aids, books, equipment, and other resources that are not funded due to federal, state, and local budget shortfalls.
Classroom Grants directly enrich the classrooms of Shorewood, and therefore the learning experience of our students. The Shorewood PTSA through EQC (now Classroom Grants) has been raising money to support academic enrichment at Shorewood High School since 1995.
Since 1995, the Classroom Grants project has provided over $350,000 for classroom enrichment! Annually during the school year, Classroom Grants provides approximately $5,000 - $7,500 in grants to 11+ Shorewood departments. Some of the many items that Classroom Grants has funded for your Shorewood students include:
CO2 and robes for Science
Multipsets of required reading books for English
Classroom performance assessment systems for Math and Science
Class sets of Atlases, DVD’s, CD’s, teaching posters, materials for Social Studies
Enriching programs and experiences for World Languages
Experiential outings and teaching materials for Directed Studies
“Writers in the School” program for the English Department
...and so much more!
All gifts to Shorewood PTSA are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.. We also accept donations at the "Pass the Hat" fundraiser in the fall and throughout the year. The PTSA also hold a holiday wreaths and poinsettia sale (see information above) to raise funds dedicated to Classroom Grants.
Please consider supporting academic enrichment at Shorewood High School this year by giving a designated donation to Shorewood PTSA. Look for the Classroom Grants line on the online giving form.
