Social Distancing Changes for 2021:
THIS WILL BE A DRIVE THRU EVENT (You will not get out of your car)

  • DO NOT ARRIVE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES BEFORE THE CHECK IN TIME LISTED ON YOUR FAMILY LETTER – If you need to switch your check in time, please contact us at shorelinebts@gmail.com or (206) 393-4916 by August 19th.

  • Please wear a face covering.

  • The following items will be available: Backpacks, school supplies (packed in a box), new socks and new underwear and hygiene supplies.

  • The following services will not be available: Haircuts, hot dog lunch and Resource Fair information tables. A packet of Resource Fair information will be included with school supplies.

  • If your family has already registered, CHECK-IN TIME WILL BE ASSIGNED via a letter sent by US Mail. Your letter with an assigned check-in time should arrive the week of August 9th. Please bring the letter to the event.

Event Information: 

 

Where: (NEW LOCATION) Shoreline Center (​​18560 1st Ave NE, Shoreline, WA 98155)              

When: Saturday, August 21 from 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm (specific check-in time will be assigned)

Who: Must be a student in Pre-K through Grade 12 in the Shoreline School District for the 2021-22 school year OR a student in Pre-K through Grade 12 for the 2021-22 school year living within the Shoreline School District boundary.  College students are not eligible to register for this event.

Register a family now through Friday, July 30th to attend the August 21st event and receive supplies, please visit www.btsconsortium.org, or call The WORKS information line at 206-393-4916 and leave a message. School Family Advocates can assist with registration, too.

To Support the BTS Event:  There are many ways to support in this event and our students: 

1.      Donate Money: To make a financial donation, please visit http://btsconsortium.org/donate.html and look for the “Donate Now” button.

2.      Donate Critical Items: This year’s most needed school supplies are: Large backpacks, composition notebooks, earbuds, pointed and blunt tip scissors, fine line color markers, and scientific calculators. A full list of items can be found here: http://btsconsortium.org/donate.html#supplies

In July, donations of items...

  • Donations of new school supplies can be dropped off at Yellow Back to School Event donations bins placed around the community after July 4th. 

  • Donations of new school supplies, new socks and new underwear and new hygiene supplies can be dropped at The WORKS (18560 1st Avenue N. Shoreline) on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8pm during the school year. 

  • Keep in mind…it costs a family at least:

    • $20 to buy new underwear and socks for a child

    • $40 to buy school supplies for a Kindergarten-2nd grader

    • $60 to buy school supplies for a 3-6th grader

    • $75 to buy school supplies for a 7-12th grader

3.      Volunteer: Opportunities to volunteer prior to or on the day of the event will be posted on the Back to School Consortium website: https://www.btsconsortium.org/volunteer.html or feel free to leave a message on The WORKS information line, 206-393-4916.
